Play our new Spring Raffle today and help kids like Aashna beat cancer
This spring, we’re giving you another chance to win £10,000 while making a difference for children with cancer. Every ticket sold will go towards helping to build a new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and helping to beat cancer for children like Aashna.
Aashna was only six years old when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), a rare type of blood cancer, and transferred to GOSH for treatment.
After a month of intensive chemotherapy, Aashna became very unwell. She couldn’t stand on her own and had developed pancreatitis and a bad fungal infection in her mouth, which meant she had to be fed through a catheter in her vein.
Thankfully, after another month of treatment, a test confirmed that Aashna’s cancer cells had been killed, and she is now completing maintenance chemotherapy.
Aashna is now very happily back at school. She’s a confident and chatty eight-year-old who loves colourful stationery, reading and her friends. Her mum, Alpana, says it’s a relief that she’s no longer missing parts of her childhood.
It’s support like yours that means we can help more children like Aashna beat cancer. Click 'Play now' to enter the raffle today.
