This is what spring’s all about. It’s a time of April showers and May flowers, a time of new beginnings and new hopes. And, of course, a time for as much play as possible.

Kids like Aubrey, who was five years old when she was diagnosed at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, a type of blood cancer.
After almost seven weeks at GOSH, split between the pediatric intensive care unit and Giraffe ward, Aubrey started blinatumomab, an immunotherapy drug that is gentler than chemotherapy.
Now at home, she and her family return to the hospital for regular check-ups. Aubrey is now on maintenance chemotherapy, the next step in a two-year treatment plan.
